Providing Physical Therapy and Orthotics/Prosthetics support

Our initiative: We are sponsoring physical therapists from Ayder Comprehensive Specialized Hospital to work at the MPOC on a regular rotating basis.

Our impact: In one year of Fewsi’s program operating, 804 patients have been able to receive physical therapy services and 1,993 patients have been able to receive orthotic/prosthetic services.

    • Improved quality of care: Hundreds of patients are receiving enhanced physical therapy services
    • Improved healthcare access: The availability of trained therapists has increased and the wait-times for physical therapy have decreased

    • Improved quality of life: Hundreds of patients have been able to get back to participating in life and regain independence (watch the recovery journey of one of MOPC’s patients here)
